We currently have two positions available, a permanent part-time Teacher Aide and a fixed term part-time Teacher Aide, working school term time only. These roles are to commence as soon as possible. You will work across a range of contexts in the school (within the Learning Support and Supported Learning departments), but mainly as part of our Supported Learning department.
At the college we have a number of students who are supported with individualised programmes to access the curriculum. These students may have a variety of significant additional needs (intellectual, emotional, social and physical) and require ongoing support.

You will work alongside classroom teachers to help students access the curriculum and develop specific skills to help their learning.
The role falls within Grades B-C of the Support Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement. Further information about the scope of work covered by these positions can be found in the Teacher Aide Work Matrix Table in section 3A.3 of the Collective Agreement.
We would love to hear from you if you have skills in communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy and patience. The preferred candidates will be required to complete a police vetting check and must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
